Same 22 momme mulberry at grade 6A, OEKO-TEX certified, same covered elastic. The width is the only difference, and it changes how it sits.
Skinny, 3.5cm
Sits close to the head and holds a smaller section. This is the one for a bun you'll actually sleep in, and it leaves less of a dent by morning.
Big, 6.5cm
More cloth around the hair, so the pull spreads out instead of biting into one line. Pick this for thick hair, or if your elastics keep snapping.

Why silk instead of a normal elastic?
A cotton or nylon band grips the hair shaft and drags on it every time it moves. Silk slides. Less grip through a night of turning over means less breakage at the tie line, which is where most of it happens.
Will it hold thick hair?
The 6.5cm one will. There's no metal join to catch, so it doesn't snag on the way out either, which is the other way hair goes.
How do I wash them?
Hand wash cool with a drop of mild detergent, squeeze rather than wring, and let them dry flat. They're small enough that a mesh bag in a delicate machine cycle is fine too.
